Football Complexities

I read the rules and a short description of how the game is played. I'll trying not to be cynical but even with a basic understanding of the game of Football and the rules, (or will this be all you need) how is it that people like sportscasters, and just people in general, can just seem to be able to talk about the sport and the players to no end? I personally wonder how such a popular game can remain as such and still appear so complicated. I'm sure if you're a source that can make it simpler to "less than" beginners like me, you can explain how everyone can comprehend. Please, how?

well matt, believe me, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I didnt play football until this year, and before that, I had asbsoutley NO idea what was going on.  i hated football. it looked like the stupidest thing ive ever seen. but that was until i got to know the sport, and football is now my favourite sport. If your curious about playing football or arent sure of the rules, sign up to play it or ask a fellow coach, theyll be sure to help you. and i promise you, as soon as you understand it, EVERYTHING will make sense and you'll be able to see the sport for what it really is: incredible.
