position advice

hi coach , i am a 6'0'' tall 230lb. senior and i want to walk on to college football. i don't have much experience playing football, but i have raw skill and a great knowledge of the line backer position, but i am a little slow. is their any thing i can do to improve my speed and stand out to scouts and coaches

Hello Chris,
First off let me say you need to get to work right now. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the four cones-agility drill. Put four cones in a 7 yard apart square. Sprint up the cone, slide to the right cone, back pedal to the back cone, slide to the left cone. Find a hill and run sprints up the hill. Invest in a parachute and run wind sprints. Leg squats, crunches and plenty of cardio. Bench pressing and push-ups for upper body strength.
