Wide Reciever Position
Question
What would it take for me to be the best player at a 4A school that's barely on the map and how would I go by on getting scholarships?
Answer
Hello,
Hard work! Work on running precise routes, blocking on run plays and doing whatever it takes to help the team. As a WR, when the ball is thrown to you, you have to believe that it is yours. The QB is not always going to make a good throw. It is your job to go and get the ball.
When you are coming off the ball running your pass route, your first three to five steps should always look the same. This way a defensive back cannot read what route you are running.
Get stronger in the upper body and the legs. If possible find a hill in your area and run sprints up the hill.
