high school football workouts

In september im going to be a freshman at my highschool and im going to play football. im currently 6'4 and weigh 250lbs. In december i broke my leg and wasnt able to participate in any sports because i was recovering. Since its now summer i can be more active but my problem is im really really really out of shape. During my recovery i couldnt run so all i did was lift weights. One of the varsity coaches seemed interested in me playing and said i would play O/D line and told me to sign up for camps in august. Whats a good workout plan i could do to get in shape? ive recently started to swim laps at a health club and i still continue to lift weights. thanks for the help.

Dear Ken,
I am sorry to hear about your injury. Swimming is a great way to get in shape. You have to be careful when you have an injury that you do not come back too soon and make things worst. You need to talk with your Doctor And your new football coach to make sure you are doing the right workout.
If I were you, I would talk to my coach and find out what he thinks I should do. And then check with my Doctor to make sure he is okay with that type of workout. Do not forget your coach is there to help you, so seek his advice.
