when i am on the field the lights give me a major headache and i was wondering if i get a prescription to have a tinted visor will that make it legal for me to wear one.

No, a prescription, doctor's note or medical report will not make it legal to play with a tinted visor. However you are in luck, because the sports medicine professionals have addressed situation like yours. They advise players who have light sensitivity issues with their eyes to wear dark glasses or tinted Lens glasses instead of visors. These can be removed easily without risk to head or neck injuries should you become injured and have to have C-Spine precautions or immobilization.
Under no circumstance are tinted visors permitted and a doctor cannot write a note or prescription to circumvent the rule, but you may wear dark glasses.
