Strong Safety Help

Question
Dear Coach Louis,
I am currently a soldier in the US Army seeking help on how
to become a great strong safety at the college football
level. I am 19 yrs old, 6'0ft, 195lbs, I max at 215 on bench
press and I run a 4.95 40 yard dash. I played some football
in high school as a outside linebacker, but never really had
the chance to see if I was any good or not. I plan to try
out for a strong safety position at The University of
Georgia, or Georgia State University. Please help me.
                                    Thanks,
                                         PFC McKnight

Answer
Dear PFC Mcknight,
My advice to you is that you tryout for the Junior College level before you jump to the University football program. This will give you two years to perfect your strong safety technique and acquire some college experience. You are also more likely to start at the Junior College level than you are at the University level. When you are ready you can transfer to the University of your choice and give it your best try. Football is not going anywhere so take your time and be ready when it is your turn to play. Let me know if I can be of anymore help.

Your friend, Louis

PS.
Good luck PFC Mcknight, your country loves you.
