if you go on youtube and look up "the dirtiest trick play in football history" the first video that shows up is about a center who simply HANDS the ball to the QB and the QB WALKS all the way to the sideline before breaking into a run. meanwhile the defense was dumbfolded and just stood there. could you please watch the video and tell me your thoughts on it? is it legal ALL THE TIME?

The answer is yes, I have seen the video, and yes it is legal. It is a trick play that calls for the offense to fool the defense into thinking that the quarterback is just going to the sidelines. The quarterback must sell the idea that he is just going to talk to his coach and exchange the football.

This play only works if the offense catches the defense asleep.
