Position and Chances

Question
Hey my name is Hailey Gist-Holden. I've been playing football for 10 years now. Every since i was 5 going on 6. I love playing football with a passion. I wanna play pro. I have the grades to get the college degree but thats not where my passion is at. I wanna play football. There is no better feeling then being on the field during a big game or championship or even during the final minutes of the 4th Qtr. i know im not over 200 pounds like most pros but is size really what its about? Can i really get over looked by a college just because i'm a inch or two shorter or maybe i only weigh 185 my senior year. Football is about playing with heart and never giving up. Heart will out work and beat talent any day. But  In 10 years of playing i've been through alot. and much more to come but whats good i'm still just a sophomore in high school. I've had Losing seasons, Winning seasons, Undefeated Seasons, Mutiple Championships, Been to Nationals 3 times. Team took 1st in Nationals in 08. Camps. you name it and i love doing it. but for my junior season i have no idea what position to go out for my junior year. I'm 5'10. 155 pounds. 1 rep max bench press over 200. Squat 1 rep max  abt 230 maybe over. 40 time 5.0 it may be around 4.8 or lower but i havent tested since freshman year. I feel much faster now. Position wise i've played QB,RB,LB and Center but i'm a little to small for that now haha. im thinking about maybe safety on denfense because im pretty good at tackling and making open field tackles. On offense maybe a RB because i can break tackcles and get the tough yards. i would rather lower my shoulder and run someone over then juking. but i can break long runs and use both truck and juke. maybe a slot back cause i can catch good and break tackles in the open field.  The other thing i need help with is what can i do to better my chances of going D1 and farther. i went to a camp last summer then they invited me down to south carolina and then this spring i'm going to 4 combines. What else do i need to do? Thank you for taking the time to help me out.

Answer
Dear Hailey,
揑t's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.?
Mark Twain quotes (American Humorist, Writer and Lecturer. 1835-1910)
Do not worry about the things that you can not do anything about like your height. Just work on the things that you can improve on like your technique and conditioning. And enjoy the game because nothing last forever. It sounds like you are doing all the right things so keep up the good work. Good luck!
