QUESTION: I'm trying out for the first time on my schools football team. So far i've been told i'm going to be a scout running back. how can i get fit and prepared for my position in a short amount of time? And do you believe girls can play american football with the boys?
ANSWER: Hi Amanda,
You need to talk to your coach and ask him the same question you just asked me. Most schools have a year round conditioning program and I am sure that your school is no exception.
And yes, girls can play American football. I had a girl on one of my football teams a few years ago and she did a very good job for us. She worked hard and never gave-up therefore, winning my respect while breaking the stereotype forever. Please let me know if I can be of anymore help?

QUESTION: My other problem is my coach is trying everything to get me to quit so he doesn't have a girl on his team. he's trying to use my fiance and my friends against me or at least my football friends. what can i do to get him to respect me?

What your coach is doing is not cool at all.
