Questionhi Mark, im 25 5'9 190 pounds. last time i ran a forty in high school i ran i 5.0. but its just weird for somereason when im not in front of a coach i do way better im like a superstar always doing better than most. i also play basketball and can play like a brother its crazy. so at my age. ive figured out that i lack explosiveness, and speed. can those two things be increased at my age to go along with the skills that i already have so i can try out for an arena football league. if so are there any set exercise that you could tell me and how much can i increase those two things at my age. given ive never worked out on my legs at all. thankyou for the time and sorry for my spelling

While my background is in training Kickers and punters for the past 26 years- the issue with Fotball and "speed" for my kickers is really in leg speed, and not in your area. If "spped is the issue, then I would have you look at something we call the "twitch fiber muscle" and is more designed to help you build that up with a series of short burst exercises (for instance 50 yard dashes, or fast weight reps, or even fast push-ups.. There are a ton of exercises dedicated to this- so I would have you just "Google" Twitch muscles" and it should be helpful.
Also you should look at Team Vertimax (if you have about 2K just laying around) but it does build explosivness.
Lastly, if you played at D1,2, or 3 you might also want to reach out to your past buddies who may have an agent that might take a look at you at one of the combine camps-but that is a long shot (at age 25)
