Question
QUESTION: Can a player play for both a middle school team and a jr. pro team(recreational park league team)?
ANSWER: Hi Maria.
yes and no! It depends on the State rules as to how much playing time a child should be doing during the week (especially during school week) age restrictions, and is usually limited to "quarters". I am sorry- but I dont know what a junior "pro team" is-since all youth sports are considered to have an "amatuer" status-but I do know in the past some club teams have stated that if a player is chosen on THAT team, then for THAT season they can only play on ONE team.
Hope this helps.

QUESTION: Jr. pro is a league in which kids ages 5-13 participate in varied sports (football, baseball, soccer) after which they would be eligible to play school sports. We live in Tn. and thought that after kids were put on a school roster that they could no longer play in the jr. pro league.
Answer
Thanks for the follow-up. Sounds like a State of TN issue about what we call "dual rostering" in other states. The basic premise is that if you are in two different leagues (and this sometimes affects tournaments when regular games are being played) the kids on who are dual rostered teams can at times miss an important game/tournament because of a scheduling issue
