football ejection
Question
If a HS football player is ejected for a game for fighting and gets suspended for the next game can they still wear their footbal jerseys to support their team??
Answer
Nellie,
Thank you for your question. The answer depends wholly on the rules and regulations of (a) the state association that governs high school sports, (b) the conference (if any) in which the school is a member, and (c) the coach, school, and school district.
A student has no legal right to wear apparel issued to them by the high school. It is a privilege, not a right. So, it all depends on those three levels.
I hope that helps. You should ask the school or coach. Again, there is no legal right for a player to receive apparel from the school to wear. The apparel is owned by the school, and it can prohibit the player from wearing such apparel.
