ball drilling
Question
QUESTION: Im looking at the momentum swing i want to get max length with strong back-end. the ball i seen has a 3-4 pin placement am i going to be able to drill it the way i want with that setup. i got a Columbia 300 U2 that has a track just to right of the fingers and thumb. i got about 16 mph speed with med rpms i guess
ANSWER: That pin distance will allow you to drill the ball for the most length possible. You may need to adjust the ball's surface to get the reaction you are looking for.

QUESTION: Im going to have to find someone around me that has good knowledge of drilling balls so I can get what i want done right. Is there any questions that i could ask the local ball driller to see if he knows what he is doing? Or by any chance do know of someone in the middle Georgia area or Atlanta that is good? I don't really know much of the drilling aspect of bowling,so if you can help any way. Thanks for your time in advance
Answer
Jeff McCorvey has some shops in that area.
I would look for an IBPSIA certified shop. I would suggest looking at pro shops that are listed on the bowling ball company web sites as well.
It is also a good idea to ask some of the local bowlers.
