Damaged Ball

I have a Scout Reactive 16lb, and I got it about 4 weeks ago. The first time I used it it got stuck in the back. When it came out the ball had a 1/4in deep, 1/4in wide and 2in long scratch. They drilled the ball and plugged it. Then the Next time I used it, it happened again. They fixed it and it has happened two more times since then. There all in different places. Could there be something wrong with my ball? And will the ball being repaired so many times effect the ball?

Any explanation as to what caused it from the center? Can't think of what might cause the problem, except a shiny 16lb three piece reactive ball may have some difficulty getting up the ball lift rods on Brunswick machines. If the ball was slightly undersized. Was it a first quality ball? Having it repaired multiple times may lead to it being undersized, but only possibly. If the store is good, very little of the cover is effected on a repair.
