PAP and best pin position

Question
QUESTION: I recently bought a ball for Nationals that was supposed to hook through a flood. My Pro Shop told me the best set up to ask for was 2.5oz top weight and 2-3" pin. Part of the problem I am seeing with the reaction is maybe due to the fact my PAP is right up under my ring finger. He told me the only way he could drill the new ball was label, not max leverage. Can you tell if this is true from what I have described? I want to have a weapon that gives me more angle for Reno. HELP PLEASE!

ANSWER: Can you give me a picture of the ball?  If so, can you trace your ball track for me?  I find it hard to believe your PAP would be that close to your ring finger.

QUESTION: I have the ball at home and will try to get a picture with the track outlined for you. I thought the same thing but before drilling the driller had me bring down a ball and he put a sticker where he thought the pap would be. It was not stable at the pins, until the sticker was just under and a little outside of the ring. I will get back to you ASAP with the picture and track outline. Thanks Chip!

You do not want to mark the point at the end of the lane.  You want to mark the point near the front of the lane where the mark on the ball is stable.  That would then be closer to your PAP.
If  you want to find you PAP,trace the first oil line on the ball.  (the line closest to the holes)  Once you have that circle, mark the center of it.  Measuer 180 degrees from there and make another mark.. That will then be your PAP
