rolling over the fingers
Question
QUESTION: Hi Warren, im having problems with my track rolling over the middle finger and sometimes the thumb hole, recently i drilled a diamond back, pin under the fingers Cg kicked out to the right 45 degrees approx., im a crancker fast speed strong release, what could be the problem?
ANSWER: Isaac,
Your release causes your ball to roll high to the grip and the position of the pin pulls the track closer to your finger and thumb holes. A small adjustment in the pitches of your grip when you intend to put the pin close to the track will help the ball roll out of your hand at a slightly different angle. What are the current pitches of both the fingers and the thumb (include spans too please) and I can suggest an adjustment?
Thanks for the question, I look forward to your response.

Answer
Isaac,
Your span and pitches probably create a need to squeeze the ball at least a little, if you alter the thumb and finger pitches a bit it should help you roll off your holes.
Try adjusting the pitches on an old ball that you've rolled and know what it does. Change the middle finger to an 1/8 and ringer finger to 5/8, and add an 1/8 to the thumb (under). The angle of the pitches should help you get around the ball more. If it is too much, moderate the changes when you drill something else or just plug and try again.
Thanks for the question. Let me know how you like it. Bowl well.
