Virtual Gravity
Question
I have a 15 pound Virtual Gravity drilled for maximum hook and a dull surface, kind of like it was out of the box. i clean it on a regular basis every 30 games or so. I avg a 218 and bowl on medium oil that's a little dry on the outside with a delayed backend reaction. I'm thinking about having my ball polished. What are the pros and cons of doing this to a ball that's already aggressive when it sees friction? Will it skid more, roll more, hook late, etc? I won't do anything until i hear from you. Thanks!
Answer
When you polish the ball, it will cause the ballto skid in the oil and react to the dry much quicker. This will make the breakpoint sharper as well.
I should allow your to play straighter in the oil, but it will be more sensitive to release or speed changes.
If you polish and dont like it, you can take it back to the box finish.
Good luck,
