curve ball grrrrrrrrrrrr

I recently started using a finger tip ball as recomended by a team mate ...I used to throw with a full swing straightened elbow and the results were great hitting the 2nd arrow from the right .Now I have been told to hit the second arrow with the curve .My ball gets all the way to the pins and just before hitting the head pin it curves extreem left to hit only the 7 . My ball speed is around 18kmhr I try to get it to go faster because thats what was recommended but its not working ..even moving left or right on my standing point is not working. Very tempted to give up and go back to a straight ball...Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated..

What kind of ball is that you are using?  Is it polished or dull?

It soundse like you changed your release as well as changing your grip.  I would go back to rolling the ball and then work on creating some side rotation.  Without seeing you bowl, it just sounds like you are over rotation during your release.
