Columbia yellow dot

Question
I have a 16# Columbia Yellow Dot #OR20320, that I obtained used in the early 80's.  Other than having the yellow dot, it is a deep homogenous burgundy color which leads me to believe it's a bleeder.  Do these have any market value?  It's been in my closet forever and I'm considering redrilling it to for my spare ball but don't want to if it has market value. Thanks.

Answer
Mike,
There is no "market" for used balls. You can get what people will pay. With E-bay and the like people have gotten used to paying very little, often for stuff that has greater value.

Bottom line, is your ball worth a bunch (no not a bunch). If it's a bleeder, marginally more than a used plastic ball. But the more prized balls were produced the year prior (1979). Undrilled versions have more value. I wouldn't expect a windfall, but if you have some time post a for sale at the local center(s), pro shops and maybe e-bay. Good luck.
