cleaning my Virtual Gravity Nano

I bought my VGN about a year ago - bowl once a week.  Absolutely LOVE the ball!!!  However, I don't seem to have the snap hook at the end that it first had.  Is there a "at home" cure I should consider, or having the pro shop clean it, or ?

The local shop should know the lanes, know your game and have options for you to return the ball to the reaction you enjoyed.

At home cures can be dicey at best. I've seen a few balls ruined by at home "solutions." Sounds like you don't trust the guy? He drilled the ball, why would you circumvent the guy that helped you with a ball YOU LOVE?
