blem balls
Question
What if the blem has to do with porosity?? How would this affect the ball and is this still a type of blem to avoid??
Answer
S,
Blem is for blemish. Ball could have a problem with one or more of many things to be a blem.
Surface porosity can be adjusted by any reasonable store operator with the right pad/paper. You might get a color issue with a blem, but if the ball is not the correct coverstock formula its not just a blem.
A mistake with the company's Brand and ball logo is not likely so messed up that it won't provide a minimum level of performance for the product. Some mistake balls actually are sold to private label companies, or a second quality ball might have a different label completely. Brand performance is a consumer trust that companies spend years and bucks cultivating. They don't want mistake balls to undercut their Brands performance reputation.
Thanks for the question. Have a good season.
