Storm Shift surface prep
Question
I'm a tweener.
What's a good surface to put on my Storm Shift?
Answer
AJ,
You Storm Shift is a particle pearl bowling ball normally finished to 1500 and polished. The surface you want should be the surface you need.
If the ball is skidding to far, get it to slow down a bit sooner by changing the 1500 grit and polished surface to something rougher underneath then finished with polish or just alter the surface and leave the last step, the polish, off.
If it's hooking too early, the underlying coverstock can be prepped smoother, by working it with 2000 grit, 3000 grit and 4000 grit Abralon pads, making it as smooth as you need, then hitting the smoothed cover with polish, and/or a polish like: Ebonite's Powerhouse Extender polish or like Ultimate's Black Magic. Let me know what the surface is doing now that you would like to change and I can suggest specific adjustments. Thanks for the question.
