Pearl coverstocks

I have a 4000 pearl stock cover which looks to also be polished 900 global network ball 1. Can I change the surface of pearl  coverstocks? Do I use abralon and then a polish or what is the chain of command please?

What are you looking for the ball to do different?

Depending on what you are looking for, you can (1) just take off the polish, (2) remove the polish and leave the surface rougher with Abralon pads, or (3) remove the polish, leave the surface rougher with Abralon pads and then re-polish the ball with the underlying surface texture helping the ball slow down quicker while helping the ball clear the front of the lane and retain some energy for the motion down lane.
