Now, aside from the possibility of playing in what you call the N.B.A developmental league(never heard of it before and -is it some sort of nursery to the pro. league?)amongst the other leagues you mentioned, is some sort of miracle posible?
I mean,is there something I can do...anyhthing between now and the draft month of June to get noticed ?

If, according to your answer that coaches and scouts invite potential college b/ball players whose careers they've been following for years, then could a potential b/ball player who is unknown to these coaches and scouts get an invitation by some means to attend these pre-draft camps to showcase his potential?
I am a Nigerian who is 6ft,6in tall and have been playing amateuer basketball intensely since 1996.
I desire to play professional b/ball in the n.b.a.
My questions are:
1.When does (i.e month) the b/ball draft where potential players are selected take place ?
2.Could i as a foreign player play in the n.b.a league even though i have never played at any American colleges before ?
3Would you be willing to use your experience as a former coach to assist me to get any professional agent who may be disposed to assisting a foreigner like me ?

The NBA darft is in June.
There is a pre-draft "evaluation" camp beforehand where certain players are invited to attend.
Players are selected based on coaches, scouts, and general managers, following the high school, college, or professional careers of the players for months or even years!

No, you cannot be invited to a camp without scouts seeing you play enough times/against quality competition to evaluate your ability. They must pre identify your talent months ahead of time to place you in the group from which players will be drafted. This is the best the WORLD has to offer. A few players have already proven themselves and don't even have to go thru the pre draft camp. The camp is the last chance for the best of the rest to showcase their talent.
In your situation, you would have to make a professional team in a professional league in Europe, Latin America, or the NBA development league in the United States.
AnswerUnfortunately there is nothing you can do for this year.
You must be in an area with some sort of professional league, make a team, be a star on a team and attract attention from NBA scouts. Also, your age will factor in and disqualify you from serious consideration.
I don't mean to be cruel - just honest - but a 30+ year old 6'-6" player with no college or pro experience has vitually no chance of playing in the NBA.
However, there cound be opportunities to work in basketball from a non-playing capacity. I'll email your other address next week. I will not be able to correspond till around April 8th, as I will be at the NCAA Final Four.
