Basketball workout
Question
1. Hello, this is Joe and i am 13 years old and i am good at basketball. I would really like to go into basketball with my future. I was wondering if there is any ideas you could give me to improve my game and be ready to take my game to the next level.
2. I was also wondering if there could be some kind of drills or workouts i could do to improve my game. Thank you very much,
Joe
Answer
Here are a couple of drills you can use -
"Spins" Put your shooting side foot on a line, get your elbow over that same line, and hold the ball over the line just above your eye (which is also on the line). With just that 1 hand - shoot the ball up and out a few feet in front so that it lands on the line - (the ball should go 12-14 feet up - as high as the top of the backboard).
"Flips" Also using just 1 hand - stand in (center) front of the basket only about a foot away and shoot the ball (like you did in "flips")so that it goes in all net, w/o touching the backboard or rim.
Do these drills at least 10 times each before you practice or play. To be a really great shooter do 100 per day!
Every team needs a great shooter - these drills could change your life!
Good Luck!
