shooting...
Question
hey, im 15 and have a great interest in basketball, i've watched games on t.v. gone to all my school and local games and i generally love the sport but I haven't played as much because i was in an accident and it left my right arm (shooting) a few degrees off so I cant straighten it all the way but it's not that much off hardly noticeable. Every time I go to take a shot my power is perfect but my aim is a bit off i find myself hitting the backboard or hitting the sides of the rim, is this anything you can help me with?
thanks, Alex
Answer
Hi Alex,
Without seeing you actually shoot, it is hard for me to advice. What you can do is shoot 100 shots from different spots on the floor and see if your misses are consistently to one side of the rim (right or left). If you are missing always to the right or always to the left then you can make an adjustment in your aiming. Let me know if that helps and if it doesn't I will ask around and see if I can come up with something else. Good luck!
