Streetball:-
Q. What are the diff. types of streetball competitions?

Ball maintenance:-
Q1. have the rules and regulations of basketballs been changed recently?
Q2. How do i maintain the grip on my basketball? where should i avoid playing wit it?
Q3. Mine is the nike 500 outdoor basketball. Is it of the official size and weight? How is an outdoor basketball diff. from the indoor 1?

Hi Ashish,

To be honest I am not a big fan of the streetball so I don't know a lot about it. I have seen the And One tour on ESPN where they have open runs. This is where palyers can challenge the And One Players and see if they are good enough to play in the feature game the next night. I have also seen slam dunk competitions on TV that are geared toward the street kind of play rather then the NBA and College slam dunk competitions.

Most of the rules are the same for basketball. I know in college they are thinking of moving the 3 point line back and extending the key like international courts.

I am not sure what your are exactly asking in the way of maintaining your grip on the basketball. It's an outdoor ball so it shouldbe okay to play with outside. I would avoid playing outside when it's wet outside.

What I am reading on the internet your Nike 500 ball is official size and weight. The outdoor balls are getting to be very good quality and are very close to the indoor ball these days. In the past an outdoor ball was rubber and an indoor ball leather. The indoor balls are still leather and outdoor balls are synthetic leather which feels similar to an indoor ball.
