What we're talking about is a cumulative total for each team for each of the three categories (Runs, Hits, Errors).
For example...
R H E
Team #1 6 10 3
Team #2 8 12 1
In the example above, Team #1 scored 6 runs, while collecting 10 hits. Their defense made three fielding errors. Team #2 scored 8 runs, while collecting 12 hits. Their defense made only 1 fielding error. Like I said these numbers are tallied throughout the game, so the above example could be an on going tally or if the game is over, a final tally.
