ALLSTAR DRAFT
Question
IF A CHILD PLAYED ALL YEAR IN AN AGE GROUP OLDER (MAJORS) ARE THEY ELIGIBLE TO BE ON THE ALLSTAR TEAM FOR A YOUNGER GROUP (MINORS) IF THIS IS POSSIBLE WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CHILDREN WHO PLAYED IN THEIR OWN AGE GROUP AND WHERE BUMPED BY THE OLDER BOYS WHO THEY DIDN'T EVEN PLAY WITH?
Answer
Randi,
The only regulation Little League Baseball has for All Stars is that the players fall within the age divisions they are playing for (9 & 10), (10 & 11), (11 & 12), (13 & 14), (15 & 16), (17 & 18). The other regulation is that they participate in 50% of the games they are eligible in.
As for the selection of the All Star team, that is left up to the individual league. Check with your Board of Directors for more information on their selection procedure.
