I am a 16 year old lefty and I'm tryout for the JV baseball team at my high school. I'm new to pitch and never pitch before what kinds of drills pitches can tell me about so that i may make to team

Pitching is going to take a lot of practice especially if you are brand new to it.

throwing off the mound can put a lot of stress on your arm so I suggest you throw a lot of "flat ground". On the days you're not throwing off the mound, get a catcher to catch you while you throw to him. have him squat down and practice throwing the ball to the middle of his body. Don't use a plate or worry about strikes and balls, just get used to throwing to the catcher's glove. Be sure to work on all your pitches.

You'll be getting a lot of work done this way and your development should be accelerated.
