two base error?

Question
scenario: a grounder is hit to the thirdbaseman who fields it cleanly, then bobbles and drops the ball. he picks the ball up and throws to first. the throw is high and the ball goes to the fence. the hitter rounds first and ends up at second. Is this ruled a two base error, or two errors (one on the bobble and one on the throw?) Thanks!

Answer
Honestly, this could be ruled both ways. If it is believed that the 3rd baseman would have gotten the out with a good throw even with the bobble then it would be a 2 base error. If the bobble makes it so the runner would have beaten the throw then it would be 2 errors like you said. This is a judgement call for the scorer.
