Replaying a Game

Question
We have an independent league which adheres to Little League Rules.  Here is an incident and any feedback would be very appreciated.

Background:  Semifinal tournament game on thursday night; all semifinal and final games are to be played the full 6 innings; however the two coaches in the semifinal game ended the game based on time limit in stead of 6 innings and they failed to let the league know that the game did not go the full 6 innings, so the league approves of the win assuming it was played the full 6 innings; the winning team from the semifinal game proceeds to the final game on friday night and they win the 1st game and force a 2nd game.  After the 1st game on friday night it is brought to the boards attention that the semifinal game did not go the full 6 innings.  Therefore, the team which lost the 1st game on friday night is petitioning to void the 1st game on friday night and have the semifinal game completed the full 6 innings and then replay the 1st game of the championship round.  Apparently the coaches of the semifinal game did not did not receive the correspondence that all semifinal and final rounds are to be the full 6 innings.  The losing team of the semifinal game does not want to replay the final two innings of the semifinal game.

What would Little League do in such a situation, although the chances of it occuring are remote?

Thank you

Answer
Jerry,

I don't know the Little League rules, but the baseball rulebook in general typically rules that if a play happens and it isn't appealed or protested at that moment, the play stands.  I would think the same thing would apply for a played game.

If I was ruling, I would let the game stand since no one protested at the time the game was completed early.

Hope this helps!

Brian
