pitching speed
Question
I have a son who will be 12 for the 2010 little league season. This past season he was clocked at 65 mph as an 11 year old. Is this normal for an 11 year old or should I look for a pitching coach to help with his progression on the pitchers mound?
Answer
I think that you should not get caught up on the number on the rader gun. Many kids in america throw that hard at that age but it doesnt mean a whole lot. If you want him to learn better mechanics then get him some instruction but dont do it because the number on the gun said 65.
