Throwing the ball
Question
My son is not the greatest athlete but has the biggest heart and loves the game of Baseball. He has played 2 season of Machine pitch and now is in the second season of kid pitch. In Machine pitch he had one of the highest on the base percentage but always got singles and he still is a decent hitter (still just singles). However for some reason he just can not throw the ball. He is petty strong and decent size (above average) but just can抰 throw the ball. It has amazed us all and all f his coaches have worked with him but he is just not getting it!! What can I do to help him?
Thank you,
Answer
Amir,
Throwing a baseball is something that has to be done repetitive. You should have your son get private instruction form a professional instructor. Not just one session but maybe once a week for two months. I am sure his coaches mean well but they may be saying different things to him. Usually professional instructors at a training facility all use the same technique and they are very consistent. If you do this make sure you watch the lessons so you can use the same words and techniques when you work with your son. Hope this helps.
