Runner hit by batted ball

Question
There were no outs and the batter hit a line drive that hit the runner who was off of first base.  The fielder caught the ball off the deflection without the ball hitting the ground.  What is the call for the runner and the hitter?

The runner is out for getting hit with a live ball.  The ball is dead once it touches the runner, the batter gets first base, and if there were any other runners on base, they get sent back to their base.
