Injured player replacement rule
Question
in the little league majors division, if there is a player injured and will not return for the season and the league has no waiting list for players who signed up late and all teams have 12 players, does the manager of the injured players team have to pick a replacement player from the next lowest division or can they add a kid who wasn't signed up at the start of the season as long as he lives within the boundaries and is of league age.could you please clarify this rule. thanks
Answer
Bryan,
The manager must select a player from the Minor Baseball division to add to his team if there is no one on a waiting list. Players who do not tryout are not eligible to be drafted to the Little League Baseball division, so players who signup late are not even eligible to be placed on that team.
I hope this has helped.
