9. For what reasons do you think high school athletes take performance enhancing drugs?
10. Do you think professional athletes have tarnished sports with their use of steroids and performance enhancing drugs?
Answer
Alex,
For a research paper, you need to do a lot more then just ask my opinion of things. This is a pretty beefy subject and I believe you need to do the research and form your own opinions.
Here is my opinion on each of your questions though, for what it is worth:
1) Use of performance enhancing drugs has caused people who follow the sports to question the fairness of the competition.
2) No
3) Because the drugs do make people perform better and there is money to be made if you are a world class athlete.
4) Test and penalize when someone is caught.
5) Track and field
6) I'm not a doctor, so I can't really answer this one.
7) Test and penalize when someone is caught.
8) I don't know
9) Because they want to be better
10) Yes
Please take the time to research this issue and form your own opinions!
