QuestionQUESTION: my son is just starting coach-pitch this spring (after tee-ball last year) and his glove now seems small. What size glove should a 7-8yr old boy be using for little league?
thanks!

ANSWER: Steve,
I recommend a 10 1/2 to 11 inch glove. It might seem small, but anything larger right now will be more difficult for him to control well. It doesn't matter what he thinks, that will be the size for him. There are dozens of MLB second basemen who use a 10 1/2 to 11 inch glove. If it is big enough for them, it is more than big enough for your son.
Good luck,

To follow up, after purchasing the glove ... the best way to soften it up/shape it for future use?
AnswerSteve,
The best product I have found is Nokona glove conditioner. It comes in like a toothpaste tube. Rub it on daily for a few days and then as needed. We use it and have for several years. It is great!
Never, I repeat NEVER, use hotglove or put your glove in the oven. It will dry out the leather and lead to problems.
