Question
What if the batter tipped the ball and landed in the catchers glove is it an out?
Answer
If the ball is tipped off the bat, and goes over the batter's head and is then caught by the catcher, it's an out (as any other fly ball). If a THIRD STRIKE is tipped and is caught by the catcher, whether or not it goes higher than the batter's head, it's still an out. With less than two strikes, it's simply a tipped strike (but the ball remains in play).
