best way to teach and build confidence

My 10yr old has played one season of softball.  She only hit the ball once!!!  What is the best way to build her confidence while learning how to play?

Honestly the best way to build confidence and learn is to take some private lessons.  She will be taught the right way to do it and then the extra practice will build confidence through success.  Hitting is repetition and proper mechanics.  She will only get that through good instruction and practice.
