Divers looking for adrenalin-pumping activities in the Caribbean will have the chance to dive with sharks as Stuart Cove launches a new dive operation; Stuart Cove's Tiger Beach Safaris.
The new operation offers scuba diving with Tiger Sharks at Tiger Beach in West End on Grand Bahama Island.
Until recently, the only way divers taking scuba diving holidays could dive with sharks was during liveaboard trips but the opening of the resort-based dive operation at Old Bahama Bay will enable visitors to take a 30-minute boat trip out to sea where they will be able to swim with the incredible creatures.
Stuart Cove stated: "This new operation is very unique in that we have a custom designed, high speed inflatable boat that can take up to 10 divers in a mere 30 minutes from the comforts of a resort, to world-famous Tiger Beach to dive with Tiger Sharks. The best part is we do this on a day charter and return to the dock in time for dinner and a nice restful night sleep in a 4-star resort at Old Bahama Bay."
Stuart Cove's Tiger Beach Safaris will give divers the opportunity to explore beautiful reefs, walls and sunken shipwrecks while scuba diving in the Bahamas while Wild Dolphin dives will also be available from the Little Bahama Bank.
Former manager of the Bimini Biological Field Station – Shark lab in Bimini, Sean Williams, will be taking the divers out on the new shark diving adventures. He said: "It's really great to be doing something that is unique, and truly a special experience for divers. We expect to see on a regular basis, aside from Tiger Sharks, Lemons, Caribbean Reefs and seasonally, the Great Hammerheads as well. It's going to be a place that divers will want to make sure they include in their ‘must dive' list!"
Stuart Cove is a full service dive resort based in Nassau and also one of the most exotic scuba diving destinations in the world. Established in 1978, it has become a leading resort for scuba diving activities and now has seven dive vessels that take tourists out on diving and snorkelling excursions. The resort also offers dive training for complete beginners.
