Avid scuba divers will now be able to use a brand new website that has been launched by Oceanic Worldwide to find out about the diving industry's latest products, technology, and news.
The website has been designed to inform, educate and motivate recreational scuba divers and was developed by scuba diving experts, oceanicworldwide.com features Oceanic Worldwide's entire line of products which are available from drop-down menus. The fast-loading graphics and easy-to-navigate site makes it easy for scuba divers to find what they are searching for.
Doug Krause from Oceanic Worldwide, explained: "Today's scuba divers are more technology-conscious than ever before. Not only do they demand the most up-to-date and advanced equipment, but they also seek out the most advanced information as well. That's exactly what we have done with this site."
Krause added that new features have been added to the site including news and feature stories, links to social networking sites including Twitter and Facebook, and a special Oceanic specials and promotions section that provides visitors with information on the latest deals for scuba diving equipment and technical products.
Oceanic's products are sold through international distributors in countries across the world including 600 dive outlets in the United States, and affiliate companies in England, Germany, Italy, Australia, Singapore, and Japan.
The company has a popular iPhone App and several online training programmes that enable divers to make the most out of their gadgets during scuba diving holidays and excursions.
American Underwater Products (AUP) and Oceanic were founded in 1972 by Bob Hollis, an enthusiastic scuba diver who started creating his own diving equipment.
On the Oceanic Worldwide website, Hollis says: "I saw digital instrumentation as the key to the future of diving. Divers need to quickly and accurately calculate many variables, such as their depth, safe dive times, and decompression requirements to avoid the bends."
Scuba diving is fast becoming one of the most popular sporting activities in the world and popular scuba diving destinations include Australia's Great Barrier Reef, the Maldives, the Caribbean, Red Sea resorts such as Sharm el Sheik and Aqaba, Florida Keys in the United States, Thailand and Hawaii.
