Orlando-based company, Hollis Gear, has announced the unveiling of its new range of technical diving products, including a piece of revolutionary equipment.
The company has teamed up with VR Technology to launch the Explorer Sport Rebreather; a piece of scuba diving equipment that enables users to enjoy their time underwater without air bubbles blocking the breathtaking views.

The piece equipment is not a fully closed circuit rebreather or a pure semi-closed system, but instead, a device that uses both functions. The Explorer sport rebreather is light, compact and uses a single gas, Nitrox. It is electronically controlled to produce a balance of PPO2 and quality dive time and can be used by both professional divers and recreational divers enjoying scuba diving holidays.

The unit has Plug and Play absorbent cartridges, CO2 tracking, and is designed to give users two-hour scuba diving experiences. Divers will benefit from breathing warm gas and enjoying clearer views of the surrounding marine underwater environment because it does not produce any bubbles.

The CEO of Hollis Gear and American Underwater Products, Bob Hollis, has been working with Kevin Gurr from VR Technology to create the new product. The pair have designed the rebreather into a package for divers that comes complete with regulator, cylinder, BCD and onboard decompression computer.
