California Surf
Surfing from Hawaii to California coast stretching over 100 years ago. Since then, almost all aspects of surfing, including the driver, surfboard design, and the industry has changed drastically. Although there is not much change at all, and that is one aspect of the best surfing areas. There are hundreds of people, all from the north to southern California and along the coast between the Golden State. In no particular order, here are my top 10 best surf spots in California list.
Rincon, Santa Barbara
Rincon is located just pull up and Santa Barbara County line on Highway 101 in central California border. In one day, this will leave a long right point off the rubber legs. It is divided into three break: The Bay, Rivermouth and indicators. Over the years, Rincon has been responsible for many advances surfing surf spots, as well as other famous spitting ripper Tom Curran and Bobby Martinez.
Pier, San Clemente
Southern California this gem lying in San Clemente city limits; in San Mateo Creek mouth. Trestle is a long beach, and features covering the upper and lower household various waves; Left, right, sandbars and beach holidays. It is also the home of sporting events such as the ASP World Tour events and the NSSA nationals. Trestle has it all. However, do not be surprised to see 200 people crowded on a Monday morning, the waves do not work as ...... here?
Mavericks, Half Moon Bay
Mavericks in Northern California's famous cold rest. This right is the most popular winter breakthrough when riding a big wave riders to test limits and from around the world giant. Warning: The Mavericks are not the best places to visit paddling beginners. Imaginative locals are afraid to let yourself be heard ...... often by cutting your car tires methods.
Cardiff Reef, San Diego
One of the more popular places to surf in San Diego County since 1940. This is a flat bottom just below the surface, creating some juicy waves. This is a good wave peak, all types of surfers enjoy all year round.
Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz
Infamous cold water and world-class recreational facilities. Today, the increasingly crowded lineup, but in a big day, the crowd thinned down to only the bravest souls. This is Jack O'Neill once called home, he came to the development of wetsuit surf spots ... thanks to Jack. If you're not in the water, on a cliff above the point of providing a perfect vantage point.
Salt Creek, Dana Point
Orange County's Salt Creek locals started calling their favorite surf spots back, cost 50 cents a day dirt many parks in 1960. Since then the situation has changed; it is now $ 1 one hour parking, which is a paved lot, but points to the middle, gravel and ROTP (right at that point) remains consistent and clean wave. If the wave is no good, there is always a lot of OC housewives play Frisbee.
Blacks Beach, San Diego
Slightly below the Torrey Pines bluffs, you'll find black beaches, full nudity and heavy accumulation ... waves. Since the underwater canyons, blacks are the most powerful waves in San Diego boasts. Does not recommend any beginner surf surf point. Even the goat trail to the beach is dangerous, so sleepy.
Huntington, Huntington Beach
Personally, I do not want to put the best places to surf in California on the line, but I had to do it. After all, the "Surf City, USA." Huntington has what someone says, "the perfect wave" surfing history and strong roots in California. Moreover, it is home to the annual world surfing champion. Beautiful bikini babes, dudes throwing pigskin and shakas, surf industry giants, freaks, geeks, between ...... nothing to say like everything in Huntington Beach, California.
Malibu, Los Angeles
When you hear the Malibu, no matter what happens in the mind of the image? Coconut rum? Gidget? Mudslides? Celebrity beach house? David Hasselhoff? For many Southern California surfers, it is an epic wave. Malibu is a typical slow / smaller breakthroughs perfect longboarders AARP members and adventure. Great Southern expansion in the first, second, and third points can be connected to form a long right-hander ...... really long. The only drawback: the weekend with thousands of Utah best Keaune Reeves stunt doubles.
Seaside Pier, Seaside
Even in summer, the Southern California and interesting spot to have a consistent waves. It is a place of peace and sublime, with the family taking a walk along the pier at night, listening to catapult bombs and heavy artillery from a nearby camp Pendelton, the busiest sea base, soothing voice in the future of the United States.
This is my 10 best personal choice place before the California surf. For whatever reason; any waves, the people, the history or location, they each hold a special place in California surf movement.
