Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine Preview

I will first let you know some info about Spain. As usual they are always favorites for top positions and this year is not exception. With Casillas in goal and Torres, Fàbregas, Silva, Xavi and others try to score goals they will be team to beat. I give them biggest chances for gold medal this year.

I rate Germany as most serious challenger for gold for Spain. They have great goalkeeper Neuer and some extra class players like Gomez, Müller, Özil, Khedira and Schweinsteiger. They have little bit younger team then Spain and this could make difference. I would place Germany to lost in Finals against Spain.

For first two positions there are no doubt but for third best team in euro it is not so easy. I give most chances for 3rd position Franc team. After some poor campaigns they have brought good team lead by Benzema, Ribéry, Evra and Nasri to this championship and they will be really hard team to beat. They like to play hard tackles football but have some extra class in Benzema, Nesri and Ribery.

I place Italy on 4th position. They are not counted as one of favorites by many as they change a lot of players before this EURO campaign but I like physiology of they coach Cesare Prandelli. He did not select team based on old fame but based on how players play. But even now Italy have some great stars in team like goalkeeper Buffon, Di Natale, Balotelli, De Rossi and one important factor I think will be Juve players Chiellini, Bonucci, Marchisio and Pirlo.

On 5th place I rank Portugal. What I miss in this team is extra class attacker but even when attacker like Quaresma or Almeida have for support players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Meireles and Moutinho they can score some goals for sure. They have some famous players in defence also. You all know "red card" Pepe from Real Madrid and his teammate Coentrão.

I rant on 6th place team Russia. Russia is most experienced team on EURO with average age 28.5 years. Dick Advocaat prepared Russia team fot this championship really good and Kerzhakov, Arshavin, Denisov and young star Dzagoev can prepare some surprise. They are experienced team little problem for them is that they do not have no good replacements for star players and cards, injuries will make big problems for them.
