Manchester United

A live Soccer club, the full name of Manchester united is Manchester United Football Club. It is an English club founded in 1878. At that time its name was Newton Health Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway football. Actually the club was founded by the employers and employees of Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company (Carriage and Wagon department). In early times they played against other workers and rail companies, but they were going good.  In 1888 it became football alliance. The alliance worked for three seasons and then merged in Football League. There were many financial problems that's because they could not work well, but the club was helped by John Henry Davies, who was the owner of the local brewery. Due to this reason the name was changed. After the rejection of many names, the final name was Manchester United. In this way in 1902, Manchester United's journey started.

In 1903 Mr. Ernest Mangell performed the managerial duties for this club. !905 and 1906 are considered important turning years for Manchester united because they secured the position of runners up in 2nd division (FA Cup). In 1907-1908 they won the first Football League Championship for the first time and in 1909 they won for the third time, but this time it was FA Cup.

Henry Davies bought the Old Trafford's stadium and leased it to the Manchester united club. They faced ups and downs due to war. From 1930 to 1944 the club faced dreadful declines which include bombing during war too. The stadium's main stand, offices, rooms, dressing area, etc. were destroyed due to a bomb.

The manager, who acts as a good omen during the bad days of club, was Matt Busby. He changed the failures into successes. There were some tragic falls too, but all in all his efforts changed the bad days into good and struggling days. The team of the club got many victories he resigned in 1969. After him, Mr. McGuinness handled his duties and now the manager of Manchester United is Mr. Alex Ferguson, was appointed in November 1986. It was he who appointed Christiano Ronaldo too.

The honors of Manchester United in live soccer matches from early days till 2011 include; 3 Champion League cups in the year 1968, 1999 and 2008. They have 12 Premier league's trophies which they got from 1993 to 2011. They also have 7 first division titles from the year 1908 to 1967. They have gained the FA Cup about 11 times. The first cup they got in 1909 and the last one till 2011, was achieved in 2004. They have 4 league cups in the year 1992, 2006, 2009 and 2010. The European Cup Winners Cup and The European Super Cup were awarded in 1991. They have got total 19 Community and Charity Shields from the year 1908 till 2011. They also won the title of World Club Champions in 2008 and the intercontinental Cup in 1999. Now the Manchester United is ranked in top organizations of the world.
