Sequel to our post on the most dissapointing teams of 2014, we would like to take a look at the most improved teams of 2014.Not all teams performed badly this season. These teams may not be the trophy winners, but they put in a spirited challenge for trophies this season. They improved from disappointing teams last season to a more performing team this season and gave their fans a reason to be happy again.Take a look at the most disappointing teams of 2014.

These teams will be featuring in Europe's elite competition next season and we would like to take a look at them below.

Liverpool

Making it to the top this season to feature in our most improved teams of 2014.The Reds are back to where they belong to after being displaced by Eventual League winners Manchester City some years back. They have put in a more than decent performance this season just unlucky to win the Premier league. They have netted an outstanding 101 premier league goals this season with Luis Suarez scoring a big chunk of the goals to be the Premier League's top scorer.

Brendan Rogers's side will feature in next seasons EUFA Champions League next season and have given their fans a deserving gift for their perseverance.

Athletico Madrid

Though they were not disappointing last season, they have improved from Europa League masters to a present domineering force in Europe. They currently have feet in the champion's league this season and can clinch the Spanish La Liga for the first time in many years if they can draw or win Barcelona. They can boost of the best defensive record in Europe presently and have succeeded in breaking the yoke of the Spanish Tigers Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Under the tutorage of Diego Simeone,Athletico has broken more bounds in Europe and are guaranteed with a trophy at least if they win either Barca or Madrid and a slot in next season's Europe elite competition.

AS Roma

What could be said of a club, who finished sixth last season, lost the Coppa Italia finals and mixed out of European football? Now the story has turned around for Roma who are currently second in the Seria A just below Juventus.Rudi Garcia's side has also broken club records for the most points (85) as well as the most clean sheets (21).

The club now boost of fine talents such as legend Francesco Totti,Mattia Destro,Gervinho and Mehdi Benatia.They now have the opportunity to showcase their trade in Europe's elite competition next season. What a perfect way to end the season.

As Monaco

Another club making it as one of the most improved clubs of 2014.As Monaco came from the French Ligue 2 last season to finish 2nd below Champions PSG.The financial revolution which led to the signing of Falcao,Berbatov and co has finally paid off.

Claudio Ranieri's men who finished above favorites such as Lyon and Lille with 79 points and 62 goals will now be privileged to compete with Europe's top clubs in the EUFA Champions League next season.A decent outing so far for the club and a moment of joy for the fans.
