Boston Celtics Game Recap
The Boston Celtics seems to be off to a great start for the 2008-2009 season. With the Big Three, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen on the hard court, the Boston Celtics is playing against other teams head strong. Boston Celtics leaders when it comes to rebounds, assists, and points also include point guard Rajon Rondo, aside from the Big Three.

Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons
The Boston Celtics scored 88-76 , defeating the Detroit Pistons during the teams’ first game since the last Eastern Conference finals season. Off the bench, Tony Allen gained 23 points, while Ray Allen pitched in 17 points with eight rebounds. Rajon Rondo got 13 points and Kevin Garnett had 8 points as well as 12 boards for the Celtics.
The Celtics held a 47-29 lead after one half of the play and extended their advantage to 20 after the Paul Pierce jumper. The players were physically active and had active hands resulting to one of the best defense plays early in the season.
The Detroit Pistons, on the other hand, were not making shots although they got good looks at the basket. The team chemistry has yet to be mastered if they were to make shots and get it offensively going.
Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks
A winning score of 101-89 win over the Milwaukee Bucks was forced by the team during the play. Finishing at 18 points, 10 rebounds with 7 assists, Paul Pierce led the team along with Kevin Garnett who scored 16 points and nine boards. Kendrick Perkins also contributed 7 blocks as well as 8 boards and 6 points.
Off the bench came Tony Allen with 13 points, Eddie House with 11, and Leon Powe 10, all double figures for the Boston Celtics. The team dominated the 2nd quarter and after trading baskets during the 3rd, the Celtics started to pull away during the 4th quarter.
The Milwaukees did not execute during the game also due to injury of guard Michael Redd. They opened up a double-digit lead after Jefferson hit a jumper. The Bostons went for 8 straight points in the first half.
Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls
With Celtics game tickets, fans surely made a crowd at TD Banknorth Garden. The team’s player who made a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds was Kevin Garnett. This play resulted in a 96-80 win over the Chicago Bulls.
Garnett became the youngest player to reach 1,000 career games in NBA history during the game with 7-of-11 from the field. Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo contributed 14 points each for the winning team. The Celtics led the 1st half and played a 24-13 lead away from the Bulls after the first quarter and eventually a 49-31 advantage at the half. This amazed and inspired Coach Doc Rivers observing the team’s high energy level moving towards a good and triumphant game.
