Ever wondered a team could be called Cheese Heads. Don't get surprised, the Milwaukee Brewers are also referred to as "Cheese Heads".The team got this name in 1987 as fans wear cheese shaped hats to support the team. Ralph Bruno made this hat when he was cutting up a couch at home.
Clown Costumes
Ever seen players of the same team playing in the same game in different colors of uniforms? No, I am not talking about a fantasy team; this is about a real team. In 1882 teams were required to dress up their players in different color and pattern of uniforms by their position. Players of both the teams playing at a certain position wore uniform of same design. Only color of their stockings differentiated them from each other. Fans were not amused by the experiment and the baseball uniforms were dropped mid season. Though few clubs tried to revive the trend in 1888, but with not much success. Image how confusing it would have been for the fans.
