Baseball pants have improved over the years. The style and cut of trousers that are worn by players now is quite different from what was worn in the middle of 19th century when uniform was adopted officially. A lot of modifications have been done to the wear since then. Though the uniforms of the past eras were not perfect, they had many interesting elements. Remembering the first official baseball uniform

It is an accepted fact that the first official baseball was not the best attire for a physically intensive sport such as baseball. But there is no harm to wear it for some fun. The first uniform adopted in 1849 by the New York Knickerbockers, comprised of a white flannel shirt, a blue woolen pantaloon and a straw hat. Though you may get the jerseys and the pants made by a uniform maker, it will be very difficult to get a straw hat. In such a case you may opt for a vintage cap that replaced the straw ones. Since the pantaloons pose a huge risk of entangling with shoes and bat, make sure you use strap to secure them properly.

Telling the world that you are the World Champions

In 1906 New York Giants made a significant change to their baseball uniforms. In the preceding year they had won their first World Series. They wanted everyone to know that they are the old champions. Therefore they got the title World's Champions written across the chest. A local team may also get similar types of uniform for their undefeated performance in their local championship competition.

Get the 1903 Yankees look

There was no New York Yankees in 1903, the team was then called the New York Highlanders. The NY initials always made a significant feature of their uniforms. In 1903 the team wore navy blue jersey with the NY written in bold across the chest on the either side of the buttons. The uniform can be easily adopted as a modern wear. The design can also be recreated on jackets and sweater. So you also have fun with it even on casual occasions.  

Love your logo with 1917 Chicago White Sox uniform

The Chicago White Sox got a new baseball pants and jerseys for the World Series in 1917. This new uniform was quite different from their other uniforms. They made their logo extra large on the left chest of the jersey - the "S" was large while the "o" and "x" were small. The logo looked patriotic as it had stars on the US flag. A full, small version of the flag was also designed on the sleeves in acknowledgement of World War I. You may get this type of uniform for games as well as casual occasions
